Stafford Capital Partners appoints Jun Hyuck Chae as Regional Lead, South Korea
London, 01 October 2026 - Stafford Capital Partners (Stafford), a leading international private markets investment and advisory firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jun Hyuck Chae as Regional Lead, South Korea, commencing 1st October. Jun will be based in Seoul and will report to Valentina Abbott, Global Head of Client Solutions. The appointment is an important step in Stafford's strategy to expand its presence in South Korea and deepen its institutional client coverage. South Korea is one of the most significant institutional markets in Asia and a key priority for the firm's long-term growth in the region.
Jun joins Stafford with more than a decade of infrastructure and real assets fundraising and investment experience. Most recently, he served as Portfolio Manager within the Infrastructure & Real Asset Department at NH-Amundi Asset Management, where he worked closely with Korean institutional investors across capital raising, client relationship management and investor reporting. During his tenure, he successfully launched and raised capital for several investment funds and developed extensive relationships across the Korean institutional investor landscape.
Prior to NH-Amundi, Jun spent over four years at Hanwha Investment & Securities, where he sourced, evaluated and executed infrastructure investment opportunities in partnership with global fund managers and Korean institutional investors. Earlier in his career, he worked within the Strategic Investment and Restructuring Department at POSCO International, focusing on investment evaluation, portfolio management and strategic transactions across a range of real asset sectors.
In his new role, Jun will be responsible for deepening Stafford's engagement with Korean institutional investors and expanding fundraising activity across the firm's timberland, infrastructure and secondaries strategies. He will work closely with Stafford's global client solutions and investment teams to support existing client relationships while creating new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Valentina Abbott, Global Head of Client Solutions, commented: "We are delighted to welcome Jun to Stafford. Jun has a deep understanding of the Korean institutional market, impressing us with his long-standing investor relationships and his enthusiasm for the opportunity to grow Stafford's presence in the market. We are confident his appointment will strengthen our ability to support existing investors while creating new opportunities for collaboration and growth across our timberland, infrastructure and secondaries platforms."
Jun Hyuck Chae, Regional Lead, South Korea, added: "Stafford has an outstanding platform across private markets, and I am excited to lead its efforts on the ground in South Korea. The firm's long-term approach to investing and client relationships creates a hugely compelling proposition for Korean institutional investors, and I look forward to working with Valentina and colleagues across the business to deepen existing partnerships and build new relationships in Korea."
