Stafford Capital Partners Becomes Full Member of the International Sustainable Forestry Coalition

London, 29 September 2025 - Stafford Capital Partners (Stafford), a leading international private markets investment and advisory group, has strengthened its commitment to sustainable forestry by becoming a Full Member of the International Sustainable Forestry Coalition (ISFC).  As part of this move, Stafford’s Chief Executive Angus Whiteley, will join the ISFC’s Board as Director.

Stafford is a leading global forestry manager with USD 4.1 billion in timberland assets under management and advice[1]. Its portfolio comprises 126 underlying assets and exposure to 3.1 million hectares[2], primarily across the United States, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Australia, and New Zealand. Through its managed forests, 12% of the land area in Stafford’s timberland portfolio is designated as formal conservation area at year-end 2024.

The ISFC is a leading global alliance dedicated to advancing sustainable forest management and promoting the environmental, social, and economic benefits of healthy and productive forestry. ISFC members collectively steward more than 31 million hectares (76 million acres) of forests across 39 countries, playing a vital role in global decarbonisation efforts.

Stafford has been an active associate member of the ISFC since 2023. This advancement to full membership recognises Stafford’s leadership in responsible forestry investment and its alignment with the ISFC’s mission to foster collaboration, transparency, and positive change across the timberland sector.

Angus Whiteley, CEO of Stafford Capital Partners commented: “We are proud to continue our work with the ISFC as a full member, and I am looking forward to contributing as a Director of the Board. At Stafford, we believe responsible forest stewardship is essential to advancing a climate and nature positive bioeconomy and supporting resilient communities.  We look forward to deepening our collaboration with ISFC members to deliver meaningful environmental and social outcomes.”

Ross Hampton, CEO of ISFC added: "We warmly welcome Stafford’s elevation to full membership within the ISFC, furthering its commitment to sustainable forestry. Angus brings valuable expertise to the board and by working together, we can strengthen our shared vision to balance environmental stewardship with economic and social benefits for forests and communities worldwide."

Established in 2020 as a not-for-profit, the ISFC brings together expertise from both the public and private sectors to address knowledge and capacity gaps in sustainable finance and forest management.
